What services does The Plus Bus offer? 

We are a plus size resale store with over 100 brands to shop in store. You'll find everything from brand new with tags to vintage, and fast fashion to luxury brands. We offer store credit in exchange for your clothes. We offer virtual and in person styling as well. We host community events and strive to be a safe space for plus size individuals of all walks.

Are you currently accepting trades?

We are accepting trades Mon-Sat and no appointment is needed. We are always looking for things that are in season and on trend.

What kind of pieces are you looking for? 

We are looking for new, gently worn items from indie to high-end brands. We love Anthropologie, Universal Standard, Wray, ASOS, Eloquii, Fashion to Figure, Fashion Brand Company, and Premme. We also love pre-worn and vintage items in good condition. We are not looking for basics or a visibly well-loved favorite piece that you're getting rid of. We want things that are pristine, have been worn seldomly, and give main character energy.

 

What is consignment vs. resale? 

Consignment is a form of reselling where you are paid once your items have been sold. With resale, we purchase your clothing upfront in exchange for store credit. We are a resale store.

Who owns The Plus Bus?

The Plus Bus is co-owned by Marcy Guevara-Prete and Jen Wilder. Read more about their story and the beginning of The Plus Bus on our About page. 

Is there an actual bus?

Yes! Our bus was purchased after many long years of dreaming and saving in April 2022. Check out our bus schedule on our Events page and follow us on IG for more. It is also available for private events. If you're interested in booking us for an event, please email marcy@theplusbus.com.

Is all of your store inventory on your website? 

No. It is not currently feasible for us to get every item we receive in store onto our online store. We receive amazing new pieces every single day from customers, influencers, and celebrities cleaning out their closets. Once the pieces are processed in store, they are put on the sales floor, then shown in a live sale, and then put on the website if it is still available. The best way to shop our new arrivals if you're not local is to tune in to our live sales which happen every weekday, shop our Instagram stories and check out website as it is updated daily.

 

Is there parking at The Plus Bus?

There is metered street parking available in front of our store and there are also two paid parking lots available within one block of the store on either side of York. If you park behind Baller Hardware off Lincoln, there is a shortcut to the shop through the alley. There is also lots of free neighborhood parking on surrounding streets.

What is your return policy?

For in store purchases, you can exchange them up to 10 days after the date purchased with the receipt and original tags still attached. 

For online purchases, you can return items up to 10 days after receiving your items. 

How do you come up with your pricing?

Our items are priced based on an item's resale value, demand, and what it costs to sell our garments to you (processing, labor, etc.). Being one of the only storefronts that provides plus size clothing to try on in person with various services, we do our best to price our items fairly based on that experience. 

When you shop from us you are supporting a fat woman owned business and helping us provide jobs to fat people. 

When are your live sales?

Our live sales happen sporadically on Instagram and TikTok. For the latest updates, turn on your notifications for our page on Instagram.

How do I shop on live sales?

Screenshot the item you're interested in and DM it to us along with your email. We will send you an invoice after the live sale, and you will need to pay it within 24 hours. Items are sold on a first come, first serve basis through Instagram DMs.
